Should we trust police officers? Are police officers allowed to lie to you? Yes the Supreme Court has ruled that police officers can lie to the American people. Police officers are trained at lying, twisting words and being manipulative. Police officers and other law enforcement agents are very skilled at getting information from people. So don’t try to “out smart” a police officer and don’t try being a “smooth talker” because you will lose! If you can keep your mouth shut, you just might come out ahead more than you expected.

By Christopher R Rice

Complaints Prompt Prostitution Sting Operation

In response to complaints of active prostitution rings in South Okaloosa County, the Sheriff’s Office conducted a sting operation October 2nd aimed at women posting solicitation advertisements on various websites.

The OCSO’s Narcotics Unit used an undercover officer to contact the females through their internet advertisements. They agreed to meet at a hotel room on Miracle Strip Parkway. Once the women arrived, they offered sex or sex acts for money.

Five persons were arrested:

31-year old Terrance Lamar of 209 Elaine Avenue, Fort Walton Beach, charged with procuring the proceeds of prostitution and felony violation of probation.
