Are police officers allowed to lie to you? Yes the Supreme Court has ruled that police officers can lie to the American people. Police officers are trained at lying, twisting words and being manipulative. Police officers and other law enforcement agents are very skilled at getting information from people. So don’t try to “out smart” a police officer and don’t try being a “smooth talker” because you will lose! If you can keep your mouth shut, you just might come out ahead more than you expected.

By  Morning Call

A 25-year-old woman fought with a detective Wednesday during a prostitution sting at an Allentown motel, according to court records.

Amanda Charles, with no current address, was charged with resisting arrest, promoting prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned by District Judge Karen Devine and sent to Lehigh County Jail under $5,000 bail.

An undercover Allentown detective responded to a prostitution ad on at 11:24 a.m. and was directed to go to the Super 8 motel, 1033 Airport Road. At the motel, the detective met with Charles, who offered sex for $120, records show.

After the detective gave Charles the money, another detective came to the room to arrest her, records show. Charles screamed and pushed the second detective, police said.

The struggle continued for several minutes until Charles was handcuffed, records show. Police said they found $640, two cellphones and rolling papers.
