Are police officers allowed to lie to you? Yes the Supreme Court has ruled that police officers can lie to the American people. Police officers are trained at lying, twisting words and being manipulative. Police officers and other law enforcement agents are very skilled at getting information from people. So don’t try to “out smart” a police officer and don’t try being a “smooth talker” because you will lose! If you can keep your mouth shut, you just might come out ahead more than you expected.

Five pounds of crystal meth

By Sean Edmondson

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) - Police say a man is in jail after a drug bust in Owensboro.

Wednesday afternoon, around 4:30, officers with the Owensboro Police Department, along with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, and the FBI, executed a search warrant at a home in the 6700 block of Leslie Lane.

Police say they found five pounds of crystal meth with an estimated street value of $150,000.

We're told 41-year-old Tomas A. Perez was arrested on drug trafficking charges.

OPD says the seizure of the meth was part of an existing investigation being conducted in the Owensboro-Daviess County area.

The investigation is ongoing and police say more arrests are possible.
