Obama Preparing to Declare WWIII

By Christopher R Rice

Last week I wrote "Does Anyone Else Know About This" and have yet to receive a reply. So here it is,

Via 21st Century Wire:

While you were busy being distracted by the Trump circus show, US lawmakers were busy sliding through a pre-declaration of war against Russia.

– US aid for Kiev regime to keep using its military against ethnic Russians in east Ukraine.
– US funding for more weapons and military support in the Ukraine.
– More US funding for foreign language, pro-US, and anti-Russian propaganda throughout eastern Europe and in countries bordering Russia.

In all but name, this US resolution is preliminary declaration of war, moving Washington right up to the final step, which is a formal declaration of war.
Based on its recent record of engaging in foreign conflicts, it is unlikely a final declaration will come, as the US has already set numerous precedents already by waging Wiemar-style undeclared wars, or by simply bypassing its domestic checks-and-balances by waging any war through NATO.

In addition to ‘on the books’ warfare, there is additional budgetary provisions included in this latest initiative for funding and directing proxy war and terrorist guerrillas against Russia through non-state actors in the region – which has already been done by the US against Iran, as reported by New Yorker Magazine’s award-winning investigative reporter Seymour Hersh in 2008:

“President George W. Bush signed an intelligence finding in late 2007 that allocated up to $400 million for covert operations intended to destabilize Iran’s government, in part, by supporting militant organizations.”

Bush allocated the ‘start-up’ fund help ‘sponsor’ (pay-off) terrorist groups in and around Iran to help Washington in its effort to first destabilize and overthrow the ruling government in Tehran during his second term in the White House. A similar, clandestine operation is already underway in the Russian region of Chechnya.

As NATO expands eastward fulfilling the organizations plans for the encirclement of Russia, a number of high-profile opposition voices have pointed out the obvious – that this alone is an overt act of war. Former Congressman Dennis Kucinich warns about the House’s reckless adoption of the HR 758:

NATO encirclement, the US-backed coup in Ukraine, an attempt to use an agreement with the European Union to bring NATO into Ukraine at the Russian border, a US nuclear first-strike policy, are all policies which attempt to substitute force for diplomacy,” (Truthdig).

According international watchdog Human Rights Watch (HRW), the US-backed junta in Kiev has refused to investigate its army’s use of banned cluster bombs against ethnic Russian civilians in eastern Ukraine. It also has recommended that Kiev be subject to charges in the International Criminal Court, in order for a proper investigation into its war crimes to take place in public view.

‘West’s policy on Syria could ignite WWIII’

The situation in Syria is just a warm-up before a real confrontation, which will draw Russia and China into action, believes Lawrence Freeman from the Executive Intelligence Review magazine.

“President Obama is acting on a British geopolitical plan to force a confrontation with Russia and China, a military confrontation of which Syrian and Iran would nearly be the ignition point,” Freeman explained. “But the real goal is a war to stop the progress that Russia and China are engulfed in.”

Lawrence Freeman says that the International Criminal Court is being used as an instrument to carry out regime change with a smoke screen of human rights protection.

“The Russians and the Chinese are seeing this played out again and they are beginning to respond,” he said. “Especially the Russians, they are responding militarily by sending the Kuznetsov aircraft carrier to the Syrian borders.”

It is a risky game, Freeman admits, but he thinks that Russians are aware of the danger of what could happen if they do not do it.

“This could result – and I think the Russians and the Chinese are aware of this – this could result in World War III,” he said. “So this is extremely dangerous, and measures have to be taken now to stop these policies by President Obama and the British.”

Political analyst Marcus Papadopoulos agrees that Russia will not allow the situation in Syria to end up as it did in Libya.

Why the CIA created ISIS

Moscow's and Washington's argument over prices for natural gas has quietly simmered in the background as the two countries have squared off over Ukraine's Crimea peninsula, Libya and now Syria's oilfields, pipelines, refineries and terminals.

Contrary to the promised "peace dividend," the U.S. has maintained its military arsenal and used it to enforce its agenda with successive and intensifying military interventions--from the use of conventional troops in Iraq, to "humanitarian intervention" in Haiti, to Obama's drone wars in Central Asia.

The U.S., Russia and other states are locked in a race to stake out territorial claims and drilling rights. The U.S. is also intent on reestablishing itself as a petro-power to fuel its own re-industrialization and supplant Russia and Saudi Arabia as the leading exporter of hydrocarbons.

In the policy journal of American imperialism, Foreign Affairs, Edward Morse said (in 2014):
Having outstripped Russia as the world's largest gas producer, by the end of the decade, the United States will become one of the largest gas exporters, fundamentally changing pricing and trade patterns in global energy markets. U.S. oil production, meanwhile, has grown by 60 percent since 2008, climbing by 3 million barrels a day to more than 8 million barrels a day. Within a couple of years, it will exceed its old record level of almost 10 million barrels a day as the United States overtakes Russia and Saudi Arabia and becomes the largest oil producer.

Obama's European trip was to assure gas exports to Europe and thereby undercut Russia's ability to blackmail American allies with the threat of cutting off their gas supplies. The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) currently being negotiated between the U.S. and EU promises to "expand fracking, offshore oil drilling and natural gas exploration" specifically for export to the European market.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration projects that the United States will replace Russia this year as the world’s top hydrocarbon energy producer. The U.S. produced more oil than Saudi Arabia in 2015.

XOM, now the largest U.S. natural gas producer, Phillips66, Valero, Berkshire Hathaway, General Electric, Koch Industries, KKR and Halliburton are among the giant firms betting billions on the superprofits they hope fracking will bring. Every major bank is also involved.

Chinas strategy to meet its energy needs has come into conflict with several states in Asia--from Japan to the Philippines and Vietnam--over disputed islands and claims to territorial waters in the South and East China Seas.

The U.S. has deployed U.S. military planners, and more naval deployments in the Black Sea and Baltic Sea, on Russia's doorstep.

The flash points are many, and it’ll only take one to ignite a conflagration greater than the world has ever experienced. Read more HERE
