Should we trust police officers? Are police officers allowed to lie to you? Yes the Supreme Court has ruled that police officers can lie to the American people. Police officers are trained at lying, twisting words and being manipulative. Police officers and other law enforcement agents are very skilled at getting information from people. So don’t try to “out smart” a police officer and don’t try being a “smooth talker” because you will lose! If you can keep your mouth shut, you just might come out ahead more than you expected.

An early morning fire gutted the interior of the McDonald’s Restaurant under construction at the west edge of Sisters.

Fire investigators quickly determined that the blaze was an arson fire, according to Dave Wheeler, fire marshal for the Sisters-Camp Sherman Rural Fire Protection District. Estimated loss was $900,000.

According to Wheeler, a passerby saw “ a yellow light” inside the building at 4:30 a.m. and called in the alarm. Crews were at the fire by 4:34 a.m.

“At that time, the interior of the building was totally involved with fire,” Wheeler said. “Shortly after crews arrived, the roof caved in.”

In 45 minutes, crews had the fire controlled. While the outer walls of the building showed little visible damage, the fire did weaken them. The fire did not spread from the building.

The developers have vowed to rebuild.

As word of the fire spread, a number of concerned citizens and onlookers appeared early in the morning, including Sisters Mayor Dave Elliott, Sisters City Manager Eileen Stein and others.

An 11-year-old South Carolina boy is facing an arson charge after allegedly setting a fire inside a Walmart that caused millions of dollars in damages to the business, police report.

The boy’s 13-year-old cousin has also been charged in connection with the blaze.

According to investigators, the boy stole a lighter while inside the Columbia store and, with his cousin, used it to set a fire in the Walmart’s greeting card aisle. The ensuing blaze caused significant damage to the store, though no injuries were reported.

The fire forced Walmart to close temporarily for repairs, but the store has since reopened.

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - The surveillance video shows a fire exploding in the back storage room of the Marathon gas station at 14 Mile and Van Dyke roads in Sterling Heights.

The video captures the impact of the explosion. Two bewildered customers walked out as they were trying to figure out what happened.

Police say about 2:15 a.m. Sunday a man broke into the back storage room and used an accelerant to start the fire.

"The clerk heard a loud boom. She checked the rear storage area and found that it was set afire," said Lt. David Smith. "It definitely rocked the building. It blew some of the front doors open, away from where the storage area was. So there was a pretty good explosion when he set this fire."

No one was injured. Sterling Heights firefighters were able to put out the flames before the fire spread to the rest of the gas station.

On Monday, debris damaged by smoke and water littered the back area. Fire-retardant foam surrounded the gas pumps.

This was not the first time. Just six days earlier someone broke into the storage room, started a fire and drove away. The same thing happened Sunday, but the fire was much more intense than the first one.

Police were searching hospitals for anyone with suspicious injuries.

NAPLES, FL - Naples police have released surveillance images from an arson and robbery that occurred at a gas station.

Police say the suspects broke into the Mobil station on 9th Street North and tried to cover the surveillance cameras with spray paint before removing several items from the store.

The suspects then poured an accelerant, possibly gasoline, inside the store from a red gas canister before igniting it. Damage is estimated to be over $150,000.

Detectives are in the process of analyzing video surveillance from several sources in order to positively identify the suspects.

If you can identify the suspects, contact the Naples Police Department at (239) I'maSnitch.
